MindGenie AI ("we," "us," or "the Genie") is a free browser-based game. This policy explains what data is collected when you visit mindgenieai.xyz and why.
What we don't collect
Playing MindGenie AI does not require an account, and we don't ask for your name, email address, or any other personal information to play a round. The character you think of is never permanently stored against any identity — it exists only for the duration of your session with our guessing engine.
Cookies and analytics
Like most websites, we use a small number of third-party services that may set cookies or use similar technologies in your browser:
- Google Analytics — helps us understand overall traffic patterns (e.g. how many people play, which pages are visited). This data is aggregated and not tied to your real-world identity.
- GoatCounter — a lightweight, privacy-focused analytics tool we use for basic visit counts.
- Google AdSense — we display ads through Google AdSense, which may use cookies to serve ads based on your visit to this and other sites. You can learn more about how Google uses this data and manage your ad preferences at Google's Ads Settings.
You can disable cookies through your browser settings at any time. Doing so may affect how ads are personalized but will not prevent you from playing the game.
Session data
When you play a round, our server temporarily tracks a session ID and your in-progress answers so the Genie can ask the next question and remember where you are in the game. This session data is not linked to any personal identity and is not retained beyond what's needed to run and improve the guessing engine.
Children's privacy
MindGenie AI is a general-audience game and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will address it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as the site or the services we use change. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
